Bling it on with statement jewelry! Here’s how to do it with style:

 

Statement Necklaces

• Keep the neckline of your outfit simple and unfussy. Opt for something that leaves your collarbone bare.

• Not ready to flaunt chunky necklaces? You can still be noticed with an oversized pendant on a subtle chain.

• Your skin is your canvas. Help it look its best with a little pampering. Exfoliation will help create a smooth appearance, while moisturising your neck and chest helps create a silky-smooth sheen.

 

Statement Rings

• If you’ve got the long, tapered fingers for it, try wearing multiple rings at a time, or even more than one ring on a finger.

• Play down the bracelets, if you decide to play up the rings. You don’t want to look like something the cat dragged out of Bollywood.

• Get that manicure. Don’t let ragged nails ruin the effect.

 

Statement Bracelets and Bangles

• Remember the rule about not competing with statement rings.

• A bold or chunky bracelet or arm band can look just as stunning worn with jeans and a shirt or T-shirt, as with a dressy evening gown.

• For a free-spirited look, wear several bracelets or bangles together on each arm. For an extra-rebellious streak, they don’t even have to match.

 

Statement Earrings

• For maximum effect, choose pieces which contrast with your hair color. Pearls and diamonds look great against dark hair, while those with light-colored hair can look stunning wearing earrings in rich hues like emeralds and rubies.

• To avoid too much clutter from the neck upwards, tome down the neck jewelry.

• If you’re going for long, dangling earrings, wear your hair swept up, such as in a chignon or a ponytail. Otherwise, your shoulder duster earrings will get lost in your hair, or even get entangled, and not be able to make much of a statement.
